FS#30 — FS#4151 — Interbusiness (IT)

Attached to Project— Network
Maintenance
the whole network
CLOSED
100%
Hi,

We have just started the direct connection (peering) to
Interbusiness which is the main provider in
Italy. At the same time, we have established the connection to
Seabone to improve the connection to Tiscali (Italy)
Tedata (Egypt), some CY operators (Cyprus) and Morocco Telecom.
Later in this month and in June, we will increase the
ability of interconnection from 1x10G to 3x10G (via Paris
Frankfurt and Milan).

Best regards,
Octave

It seems that the OVH traffic to Interbusiness, before the passage to
Peering, has been much "shaped". Basically, someone, on the
passage, has limited traffic, and/or peering between TATA and
SEABONE was severely saturated.

Briefly, our estimation of traffic to Interbusiness is false.
We estimated it to 8-12Gbps. We think it is about
22-25Gbps. It is really rubbish! We have
already had the knack with Telefonica in 2008 when OVH flowed 2Gbps toward
Telefonica via traffic and when we made the traffic
more direct, we went directly to 6Gbps.
So, it was saturated of course. We will wait for the setting of
new ports of 10G to desaturate ports. There is no point in
doing as before since it was
worse.
That is no good.

We limited the traffic to the full. We removed all
other AS except AS3269 and must run off about 15Gbps.
It goes wrong on a simple 10G ...

We activated the 10G port at Milano. We do only
receive the traffic at the moment. We wait for the end
of the set up tasks of 2x10G between Frankfurt and Milano
in order to pass on the traffic locally at
Milano instead of Frankfurt.

We added 2x10G between Frankfurt and Milano. And we
move the traffic on Milano to Interbusiness and
Tunis Telecom. This allows to gain around 8ms.

There remains the port 10G at Paris to activate. Awaiting
the AS of North/West Africa which are behind Seabone,
we move them via Tata at Paris. This allows to go
directly towards Marseille (instead of Paris/Frankfurt/Marseille)
