Incident Report for Network & Infrastructure
Resolved
We had an electrical cutoff for 2 seconds on one of the 2 arrivals of the DC. The BHS1 tour has not been impacted thanks to the inverters.
ALPHA room has been impacted since it is not corrugated (it's the ALPHA principle).

Few minutes ago, we had again some arrival cutoffs. ALPHA is down. BETA will take 15 minutes on the inverters.
The team are on their way to switch manually the electrical arrival of the DC to the 2nd arrival wishing that it won't get impacted by the electrical cutoff in the corner.

Update(s):

Date: 2012-07-09 07:02:36 UTC
There has been a short circuit in a big sub-station Chateaugay. Therefore, the sub-station of De Lery was completely lost.
Hydro Quebec has booted the dam in order to resupply the sub-station of De Lery. The breakdown with Hydro Quebec lasted for 6-7 minutes.

At this level, we have a protection system which cut the electrical arrivals if the current breakdown lasts for long (!!).
It is totally stupid and we'll change it.
Our teams have intervened and put back the current in the DC. All held thanks to the inverters.

The first group arrives in 10 days. It will be operational before the end of this month.

Beauharnois and Valleyfield are in complete darkness.
More electrical current to 20km !

Date: 2012-07-09 06:36:14 UTC
Our teams had just switched the electrical arrival of the DC to the 2nd arrival. The DC is now supplied.
BETA is not impacted. ALPHA is back.

Within few weeks the switching between both arrivals will become automatic and in case of a problem, groups will take the over.
