The fiber is up now. We put again the trafic on Ashburn, Dallas, Miami.

The fiber maintainers have advised that splicing has been completed and the Transport NOC has advised that alarms have cleared. The Technical Service Center has been engaged to verify service restoral with impacted customers.

The fiber maintainer has completed the north end of the cable and will be starting work to splice the south end of the cable. An estimated restoral time 11:00 GMT has been provided.

The Transport NOC reports that a construction crew was installing a guardrail along the roadway and damaged a 144-count fiber cable. Although this is Level 3 fiber, all repair work must be performed by a contracted local fiber maintainer, as they are the only team authorized to work along the turnpike. The fiber maintainer has dispatched their restoration crew to the site, but no ETA is currently available.

Field Services report that, due to the vast amount of construction in the area, a fiber crew has been engaged who will be able to further isolate the damage. No ETA is currently available for the fiber crew.

Field Services have further isolated the location of the suspected fiber cut and are now driving the route between Westampton, NJ and Jamesburg, NJ to pinpoint the issue. Field Services advise there is road construction in the area that may have caused damage to the fiber cable.

The Transport NOC reports a loss of signal between Jamesburg, NJ and Westampton, NJ is impacting unprotected services. A fiber cut is suspected to be causing the issue and Field Services have been engaged for further investigation with an ETA to the Westampton, NJ site of 14:30 GMT.
