We have remarked an overheating on a circuit breaker of UPS 8 outlet.
This overheating seems to come not from a loosening of a terminal of a
cable outlet but from a broken circuit breaker.
We will have to proceed to its replacement.
Therefore, we will pass to an electrical degraded mode on the room 25.
Our teams are on site in order to assure a smooth switch
and in order to intervene rapidly in case of
unexpected surprises.
Update(s):
Date: 2010-11-07 11:04:50 UTC The circuit breaker and its platinum were replaced.
The rooms were turned into redundant power supply.
Everything is finished with no crash.
Date: 2010-11-07 11:02:22 UTC The electric switch of the 3 rooms were successfully done.
No server has crashed.
We have isolated the outlet of UPS and demounted the circuit breaker
and platinum out of service and we will proceed to their replacement.
Date: 2010-11-07 10:59:27 UTC The rooms 20 and 25 are degraded.
We will start to switch the room 27.
Date: 2010-11-07 10:58:39 UTC The circuit breaker was fully cut off, no server crash for the moment.
The crash is more serious than expected : the circuit breaker was welded with platinum which hosts it...
We will have to isolate the complete outlet of the the UPS in order to proceed to the replacement of the circuit breaker + platinum in safety.
The rooms powered by these circuit breakers are the rooms 20 25 and 27, all in double power supplying. We will proceed element by element in order to switch to a single electric arrival instead of 2.
